MARÍA PERELLO THE BEST SPANISH OPTIMIST SAILOR

MARÍA PERELLÓ, OPTIMIST CHAMPION AGAINST MEN
THE YOUNG REGATIST PROCLAIMED SPAIN CHAMPION OF OPTIMIST IN ALTEA DOMINATING THREE OF THE FIVE CLASSIFICATIONS OF THE COMPETITION.
On the weekend of 15-16 April 2017, the Spanish Cup of Optimist was held in Altea (Alicante).
In the day of Sunday 16, Perelló executed a great feat, it was done with a seventh and a first position, obtaining the victory in the general classification ahead of the participants in masculine category.
Thus the Mallorcan rose to the podium of the general ahead of the canary Samuel Beneyto (second) and the Galician Yago Barca (third). María Perelló won in Aletea three of the five categories of the competition, Sub-13 women, women's absolute and the overall classification.
Great news for the Spanish women's sport.
