On the second
day the wind did not facillito the work to the sailors. Tabarquero wind as they
call the wind coming from the Island with an intensity between 6 and 8 knots.
It has allowed another three tests to close the program.
The fight
between Antonio López, Javier Clement and Enrique Urios to take the title of
regional champion and in the end take the silver caravel, Memorial 25 May 10,
has not had a verdict, until the last test. The fight has not had quarter and
in the end Antonio López (RCN Torrevieja), with a first position, has felt the
championship.
Javier Clement
(CN Santa Pola) and Enrique Urios (RCN Valencia) respectively, have completed
the podium. In the women's squad they were fighting for the title of Autonomous
Champion and as in the absolute category, three girls have been fighting for
the title, Claudia Adán of the CN of Santa Pola, Paula Garcia of the CN
Alicante Costa Blanca and Adriana Castro of RCN Torrevieja. Paula was the most
regular of the day but the bad part of Saturday has been weighed and has not
been able to with the regularity of Claudia, who with a first place in the
fifth test, only had to control their rivals in the last test.
In the Sub-13
category, the great dominator has been Adriana Castro of RCN Torrevieja,
accompanied by Carlos Espi and Simón Codeñer both RCN Valencia. In Sub-13
Women, the sailors Marta Fructuoso of the RCN Torrevieja and Yolanda Clement of
the CN Santa Pola, second and third respectively, have accompanied in the
podium to Adriana Castro.
The Mayor of
Santa Pola Doña Yolanda Seva, accompanied by members of his corporation, Don
Pascual Orts, president of the Yacht Club of Santa Pola, accompanied by members
of its board of directors, Carlos Torrado Chairman of the Committee Of
Competition of the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community and the Ruiz
Family, mentor of Memorial May 10.
