VOLVO OCEAN RACE 2017

CHUNY BERMUDEZ, GREAT PERSON AND SPORTSMAN WILL COMPETE WITH THE AKZONOBEL DUTCH

THE WINNER OF THE PROOF OF THE LAST EDITION (2014-2015) WILL BE PRESENT FOR THE SEVENTH TIME.
Roberto Bermudez de Castro, will continue making history in the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-2018, since it is already official his incorporation to the Dutch equipment "AkzoNobel". It will leave from Alicante on October 22nd and this will make it one of the most experienced competitors in the competition, this will be the seventh.

This Coruña was the winner of the last edition and became the second Spanish sailor to win the Volvo Ocean Race in 40 years of history, the first was the Barcelona Joan Vila. Chuny Bermudez, well known in the world of sailing, was Olympic in the Star class in Athens 2004 and competitor in two America Cups (1995 and 2000). Recently, in 2015, he received the Spanish Navigator of the Year Award.

Bermúdez explained that: "There is never anything safe in the Volvo Ocean Race, but this team has everything necessary to play a good role," adding: "We have everything ready: a powerful crew and a good support team, a State-of-the-art boat and the great sponsorship of AkzoNobel.We now have to prove it "
